YOU ARE CAPABLE OF MORE THAN YOU THINK

YOU ARE CAPABLE OF MORE THAN YOU THINK

Hello everyone and happy Friday! I hope you have had a fab week and got a little sunshine too.

The highlight of my week was definitely getting my COVID vaccine, I don’t know about you but I feel like we are starting to turn a corner out of this pandemic. Have you had yours yet?

I have also been feeling nostalgic this past week. And spent a good few hours the other day looking back at old instagram posts and reflecting.

Can you believe it’s been a year and a half since I started running my business full time?! Although the time has flown, it also feels like a long time since I had a ‘normal’ job.

One of the reasons I like to look back at old posts is to remind myself of how far I have come, and one of the things that always gets me is that we are capable of so much more than we believe we are.

When I handed in my notice in October 2019, I posted up an IGTV video to tell you all what I was doing. I have to say watching this back now made me CRINGE.

At the time, I was feeling the strain of balancing a business with my job and was excited about the prospect of more time, being able to be more focused and get my social life back.

Oh Rebecca, if only you had known what was coming….

The truth is, had I the gift of foresight and known what would happen in 2020, I would have thought twice about taking the leap. in fact I’m pretty sure I would still be in my old job and waiting for the ‘right time’ to leave.

If you look back at the past year, I’m sure you would have come through so much more than you would have ever thought you were capable of.

Looking back at our past achievements is an amazing reminder of our resilience, strength and ability to learn and grow. It’s a brilliant way to help you feel good and stay motivated.

Here are a few ideas for how you can do this regularly,

Make a note of your wins each week, then take time to read back over them and feel proud of your achievements. The more you do this, the more you will have to look back on at different points.

Journal on this prompt - what have you achieved in your life that at one point you thought was impossible?

This will help to remind you that what you might feel is impossible now, can be achieved. After all, you've done it before!
